Mosaic Workshop
Learn how to mosaic with a 2-day course instructed by Sarah Jamieson. Participants will each build a mosaic hanging piece and all materials will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring in dishes, small metal outdoor tables, cleaned skulls, or hot plates to mosaic as well as broken pottery or glass that they'd like to incorporate into their pieces. (Day 2 of 2)

Plein Air Painting
Participants will spend the day outdoors at beautiful Brewery Flats, while local artist and longtime LAC instructor Tobie Liedes guides the group through plein air painting techniques. Class will meet at the Turner Center, spend the morning together preparing their work with sketches and reference photos and complete their works independently at brewery flats throughout the afternoon.

Join us for the Wilkins Gallery opening of Muse and Myth, a Steven R. Hughes and Cassie Stone Exhibit. Gallery reception from 5-7pm.
Wild Clay Workshop with Josh DeWeese and Dante Gambardella
Join ceramic artist and MSU Professor of Art Josh DeWeese, and ceramic artist Dante Gambardella for a wild clay weekend! Here participants will dig for wild clay deposits in the field while learning historic uses, and turn it into clay for processing back at the Ken Edwards Memorial Ceramic Studio!
Artist Workshop: Mixed Media Painting
Participants will learn basic acrylic painting techniques while painting a landscape with local artist and longtime LAC instructor Tobie Liedes. Great for beginners or anyone looking to hone their skills!

MT Shakespeare in the Parks will be visiting Central MT June 26th (Utica Clubhouse Lawn) and 27th (Lewistown’s Creekside Pavillion), on tour performing “The Three Musketeers” and “Measure for Measure”. These performances are FREE and family friendly; all are welcome! Stay tuned for performance details!

Wooden Spoon Carving Workshop
Learn woodworking basics with Harry Felton as you create your own hand-carved serving spoon! Felton is a master craftsman and skilled instructor; this popular class has very limited space and will fill up quickly. All materials, tools and instructions provided.

LAC Members Exhibition: SPARK
Join us for the opening gallery reception of our annual exhibition featuring original artwork by members of the Lewistown Art Center! This year’s theme celebrates the beginning, the impetus, or the catalyst of change. SPARK will be on display in the Wilkins Gallery through the month of June. Admission is always free!
We will be accepting members’ artwork submissions through the end of May. Please contact us for details and guidelines.
