Mary Callahan Baumstark
Executive Director
Mary is from Missoula, MT, and received her BFA in ceramics from the University of Montana and her MA in Contemporary Art, Design, and New Media Art Histories from OCAD University in Toronto, Ontario, before moving back to Montana to teach Art History at UMWestern in Dillon.
Mary became the Executive Director in 2017 and dedicates her time to the Lewistown Art Center through management, strategic planning and fundraising. In her free time, Mary is a freelance critic and curator and writes for publications like Studio Potter, CFile, and more.
Nolee Anderson-Hendren
Education Coordinator
Born and raised in South Central Montana, Nolee Anderson-Hendren moved to Lewistown with her husband in 2022. She is a lifelong lover of the arts and art education. No matter through painting, crafting, dancing, film watching, writing, or cooking; Nolee’s passion is giving children and adults alike a safe space to explore the creative process- encouraging everyone to make great things and just have fun. Nolee is a graduate of the Carpentry and Sustainable Construction Program at the Missoula College of Industrial Technology. When she is not teaching classes at the LAC she is busy as the owner/operator of her design+ build company, Joist Studio, based in Lewistown.
Noah Rotz
Operations Manager
Noah moved to Lewistown from Morgantown, West Virginia to be closer to family. He comes from a background of retail shipping, frequently packaging fragile artwork and musical instruments from the local college to be shipped all across the country.
Noah joined the Art Center in summer 2020, managing the day to day operations of the LAC Gift Shop, interfacing with our consigning artists, overseeing facilities maintenance and providing tech support.
Leah Grunzke
Outreach Administrator
Originally from northern Minnesota, Leah spent the last 20 years working and playing in Montana. She earned degrees in Horticultural Science from MSU-Bozeman and Nonprofit Administration from UM-Missoula, with an emphasis on community outreach and education. She has been developing and leading all-ages classes for over 15 years, focusing on play- and place-based learning, curriculum development, classroom design and the integration of art and science.
Leah joined the Art Center as Program Director in 2016. She is now in charge of the LAC’s outreach activities, including online marketing, website development and managing our Membership Department.
