Montana Watercolor Society Workshop
w/Instructor Clint Loomis
”It’s in the Wash”
May 27 & 28; 9am-4pm
Have fun ‘refreshing’ your imagination when allowing the art principles of gesture and movement to guide your use of traditional watercolor techniques. An emphasis will be placed on ‘the wash’ and wet into wet to create thin layers of color. We will incorporate nontraditional materials such as water soluble ink pen lines (Flair pens work great) and colored pencil to expand our vocabulary and solve compositional conundrums.
This workshop is designed to slip us out of our comfort zones, just a bit, but will offer a good time exploring new territory as we say, “Huh, I never thought of that”.
This workshop is open to members of the Montana Watercolor Society first, after they have a chance to register any open spots will be available to the public. Please visit our ADULT PROGRAMS page to find registration forms and course details.
The Montana Watercolor Society’s Annual Miniatures Show will be on display in the Wilkins Gallery through May 2022. All are welcome to join us for an opening reception May 6th and closing reception May 27th, 5-7pm.
