Join our director, Mary Callahan Baumstark, and our new Ceramics Technician, Marne Dohrmann for an Introduction to the Ken Edwards Memorial Ceramic Studio (KEMCS) and make your own slab-built mug! Participants (16+ please) will learn the basics of KEMCS operations and safety, as well as try ceramics equipment like potters wheels, extruders, and slab rollers before hand-building their own mug. After completing this workshop, participants will be able to utilize KEMCS as a Community Studio, make and glaze their own ceramics, and understand the basics of studio etiquette and safety.
