Summer 2017 Schedule:

June 12-14: "Birds, Bees & Garden Art"
This week we’ll get our hands dirty exploring all the creative opportunities we can find in the garden.  We’ll partner with the Green Shares Community Garden to plant and study flowers, build insect hotels and learn how gardens provide food and shelter for all kinds of wildlife!

June 19-21: "Public Art - Make this place your OWN!!"
“Art is for the people.”  This week we’ll be making art in the spirit of generosity and giving back to the community.  Campers will choose people, places, causes, or things that are important to them and create art projects to give to those in need.  We’ll also participate in a local beautification project…painting the ‘tire serpents’ in the park!

July 10-12: "Take Flight"
From birds to balloons, we’ll be looking to the skies for inspiration in this camp dedicated to the wonders of flight.  Campers will test out their paper airplane making skills, scout natural areas for wild birds and create their own contraptions to soar through the air.

July 17-19: "All About Insects"
Some of nature’s most amazing creatures are hiding in plain sight, and this week we’ll find them!  Campers will explore different techniques for catching and observing insects, learn about the buggy habitat in their backyard, and try their hand at creating some creepy crawlies of their own!

August 7-9: "Music Makers"
Calling all movers and shakers!  Regardless of musical experience, campers will have fun building their own instruments, exploring the science of sound, and learning from local musicians. Come play along!

August 14-16: "The Play is The Thing"
This week we make theater come alive!  Campers will create costumes and puppets, write and perform mini-sketches, and use their creative skills to create magnificent set-pieces!
